Welcome to day 3 of 7 for Halloween week! Today’s article will be 10 seriously beautiful orange reptiles, and in a couple days we’ll post the second half of the colour combo everyone thinks of when they think of Halloween: black! Without further ado, let’s get started!

This beautiful snake is found in Africa and has beautiful scales that remind people of a dragon, or leaves.

2. Frilled Lizard
Frilled Lizard (Chlamydosaurus Kingii)
This cool looking lizard is found in Australia, Queensland, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. It has a huge “frill” around its neck that it will puff up when threatened to scare away predators.
3. Iguana
Green Iguana (Iguana Iguana)
Despite its common name the green iguana, this iguana from Central, South America, and the Caribbean can actually come in other colours, like the beautiful orange shown above.
4. Eastern Box Turtle
Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina)
This turtle is from various parts of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. They can range from a duller orange/yellow to the very vibrant orange pictured, which looks stunning with their piercing red eyes.
5. Crested Gecko
Crested gecko (Correlophus ciliatus)
This gecko is one of the most common reptiles kept as a pet these days. They can come in multiple different colours, and beautifully bright orange is one of those colours!

These iridescent snakes are from Central and South America. As well as the beautiful oranges that some of them have, they also have a beautiful rainbow iridescence to their scales as well.

These spiky lizards come from certain areas in Pilbara in Western Australia. They are covered in spikes and have a beautiful orange hue to both their body and their eyes.

Corn snakes are another popular reptile for today’s keepers, and they also have a beautiful array of colours and morphs including multiple shades of orange.

These snakes are from Australia and have a unique scoop-shaped nose. They have beautiful bands that include a bright orange.
10. Banded Knob-Tail Gecko
Banded Knob-Tail Gecko (Nephrurus wheeleri)
These unique geckos from Western Australia have cool-looking tails and darker banding over their orange base for their body.
