10 Cute Crested Gecko Morphs

Our last post was about the 8 things you need to know to set up for your new crested gecko, so to keep on with the crestie theme, today we’re going to be showing you 10 cute crested gecko morphs. Crested Geckos are one of the most popular pet geckos out there (along with leopard geckos), and due to their popularity, breeding them for new and beautiful morphs has become a huge thing in the hobby. While normal crested geckos are beautiful on their own, the crested gecko morphs available out there combine some beautiful colours and patterns. Below is a photo of what would be considered a “normal” crested gecko, and after that the list begins!

1. Red Crested Gecko

To start off our list of crested gecko morphs, we have the beautiful red crested gecko morph. When the bright red colour is mixed with the patternless trait it really showcases the gorgeous colouring of this morph.

2. Piebald Crested Gecko

The crested gecko pictured above is one of the only (if not THE only) piebald crested geckos in the world, and what a beautiful morph it is. Patches of a normal patterned creamy yellow are broken up with patches of bright, solid white, creating a beautiful – and unique look.

3. Creamsicle Crested Gecko

This beautiful morphs is a mix of beautiful orange shades and creamy whites, just like a creamsicle (hence the name). A truly beautiful addition to any home.

4. Super Dalmatian Crested Gecko

A super dalmatian crested gecko is any crested gecko with a large amount of dalmatian spots – more than the average dalmatian morph. We especially love this trait when it’s mixed with lighter colours (such as the gecko pictured above) as it really makes the large amount of spots stand out beautifully.

5. Olive Green Crested Gecko

While this morph may not be a bright green, it still is a gorgeous green. Mixes of beautiful olive colours make this a truly gorgeous gecko morph, especially when on a mostly patternless gecko – allowing the colour to truly shine.

6. Moonglow Crested Gecko

The moonglow morph produces beautiful snow white crested geckos, which are definitely a stand out gecko. Mixed with the dalmatian trait, the spot contrast beautifully against the start white of their body.

7. Black Crested Gecko

A nice black is always a beautiful colour for lizards, and the black crested gecko morph is no exception. As well as the beautiful black colour of the body, the black eyes and the contrasting white on the tail come together to make one stunning gecko.

A bit lighter than the black crested gecko mentioned above, is the beautiful grey crested gecko. This colour is especially beautiful when paired with the patternless trait, as it allows the gorgeous slate grey colour to truly shine.

9. Lilly White Crested Gecko

Lilly White Crested Geckos were first produced by LillyExotics in 2010, and are characterized by beautiful creamy white patterns, mixed with various other colours. While the moon glows mention above are pure bright white, the lilly white morphs has beautiful patterns that result in an amazing contrast.

10. Pink Crested Gecko

Just like we mentioned in our article about Western Hognose Snake Morphs, pink reptiles aren’t easy to come by. However, thanks to selective breeding a few rare crested geckos can be found in beautiful pink colours. Patternless pink crested geckos with beautiful red spots are our favourite of the pink crested gecko morphs.
