Top 10 List – Green Iguana Morphs
1. Green
This is the classic green iguana that most people think of when they hear the name green iguana or just iguana in general. While this technically isn’t a morph, we still thought we should include this gorgeous color!
2. Blue
The next green iguana morph on the list is the blue (or sometimes referred to as axanthic) morph. This morph produces a gorgeous bright blue iguana which is absolutely stunning.
3. Red
This iguana is the opposite of its normal green counterparts, showing off some gorgeous red coloring.

Albinism is the result of cells that can’t produce melanin, the pigment needed to color skin, scales, eyes, and hair. Albino green iguanas are often a gorgeous sunshine yellow color, with the typically pinky-red eyes that are often seen with albino animals.
5. Orange
While hints of green can still be seen around the body, the majority of this iguana is a gorgeous bright orange color with the typical black stripes.
6. Snow
As the morph name snow (or sometimes blizzard) implies, these iguanas are a gorgeous white/cream color, which makes them really stand out.
7. Black
This iguana is basically the opposite color of the last morph, instead of a bright white this iguana is a gorgeous dark black color.
8. Hypomelanistic
Hypomelanism is a condition in which there is a reduced pigmentation compared with that seen in the wild type. In the case of the iguana above, it is missing most of its black and green pigmentation which is normal with green iguanas. Instead, this iguana is a beautiful pastel almost coral color.
9. White and Black
The white head of this iguana above really stands out against the darker black of the chest/back of the iguana.
10. Caribbean
Green iguanas from the Caribbean can show a great range of colors, from mottled greens, blacks, and whites, to sometimes even pinks and purples.
